Six of them are. The GP appointment guide opens straight from this page with no signup, because knowing when a symptom needs a doctor should not cost an email address. The other 5 unlock on the free guides page as soon as you leave your email for the newsletter, which is also free.
What is the difference between a free guide and a book?
A free guide is one tool for one problem: a log, a checklist, a plate. A book is the whole plan, with the days counted out, the logs to fill in and the lists to shop from. Start with the free one. If it helps, the book takes you the rest of the way.
How do I buy a book?
Each book is $19 and is sold through Gumroad, which takes the payment and sends you the file straight away. The price is in US dollars and your bank converts it. The book is yours to keep.
I pay for the newsletter. Is there a member price?
Yes. Paid subscribers get every book at half price. The code is on the Perks page on Substack. The bundle is already priced below three books, so the code is for single books.
Do I need a printer?
No. Every list, box and log is a real form field, so you can type into a guide on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and save it. They print well if you prefer paper.
Who writes them?
Laura, a UK registered nurse. Every claim is checked against NHS and NICE guidance before it is published, and the guides say where the information comes from.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is general health education. It does not replace a consultation, and it cannot diagnose anything. If a symptom is new, persistent or worrying, speak to your GP or call NHS 111.
